O'Connell Cottages are situated in the sleepy village
of Tremellec, near Plouyé, Central Brittany. Surrounded by
beautiful open countryside it is the ideal place to retreat from
the hustle and the bustle of busy towns and cities.
Swallow Cottage was renovated in 2005 to create a spacious gite.
Facing into a sunny courtyard this cottage retains it's original
charm. Renovated in 2008, Wren House provides modern accommodation
in a typical French styled home. An light and airy extension leads
onto a veranda from where guests can enjoy an enclosed garden.
Both properties are ideal for watching nature go by whilst sipping
a glass of wine, knowing there of plenty of things to entertain
the children both indoor and out. The river Aulne is just below
us, where otters, herons, egrets and kingfishers have be seen and
surrounding country lanes are home to deer, badgers, foxes and rabbits.
At night the courtyard frames the starry sky and the calls of the
owls can be heard. For those of you with children a baby-sitting
service is provided for the evenings making this a great place for
a family holiday.
The surrounding countryside, towns and beaches provide a range
of interesting activities
for any age group. All within an hour's drive on smooth, uncongested
roads.
Discounted rates available for couples in low season and bookings
made before 1st January 2009 for any time in 2009 will get a reduced
rate. Short term or long term rentals are available.
